One Year Later…
This time last year, I was sick to my stomach. It was my first day as owner of Legal Direction and not driving a half hour on I-40 to work in a big law firm. What had I done? Could I really feed my kids without the security of a paycheck?
I remember it was a beautiful spring day, so I took the dog for a walk. The long, hilly route. I allowed myself to breathe and to appreciate the freedom to take a long walk at 10 am.
Now at one year later, the answer is yes, I support us just fine. I have worked hard to build a system that gives micro- and small-business owners access to a business attorney with predictable pricing. I have worked with 75 different clients this year, in a variety of industries and on an assortment of legal matters.
I have contracted with a virtual assistant, an accountant/bookkeeper and a real estate paralegal to allow me to focus on the high-level legal work and to be accessible to my clients.
Have there been some stumbles? Of course! But overall, I am thrilled to be able to connect with so many people in the Triangle who trust me to handle their legal work.
Thank you.
