How to Make #Giving Tuesday Safe
We are in the throws of the holiday shopping season – a critical time for many businesses. It has also become an opportunity for non-profits, as Giving Tuesday has been added to Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
In my family, we make donations in honor of our loved ones as part of the gift giving. We sometimes pick causes that are important to us; other years we contribute to an organization that is important to the recipient.
My email and social media are full of requests. Some are groups I know; others sound intriguing. Before you donate, make sure you are not being scammed out of money or credit card numbers.
