Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Giving Tuesday – Find A Few Minutes To Center Yourself
It’s a hectic time of year.
Thanksgiving. Black Friday. Shop Local Saturday. Cyber Monday. Giving Tuesday.
Work is crazy for people who serve gift buyers. It is crazy for professionals who have a hard deadline on 12/31. Everyone is dealing with year-end accounting, employee reviews, and bonuses, projections, tax planning.
And oh, yeah, all the spiritual observances you are trying to make meaningful amid all the busyness.
Diwali, Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Solstice…. The list goes on.
Don’t forget to carve out some stress relief for yourself. Here it looks like baking, which takes my focus to my hands and out of my brain (warmer weather stress relief is gardening, which accomplishes the same result.)
It may be listening to your favorite holiday tunes with an adult coloring book and a new box of colored pencils.
It may be family game night, finding a light display near you, or decorating the house together.
If working out is your jam, make sure you schedule that time on your calendar so you don’t get too busy and prioritize.
Remember, you can’t take care of your employees, customers, and loved ones if you haven’t taken care of yourself.
